PLANETARY TREMORS: 6.0 Quake Shakes Southern Panama!

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck southern Panama early Saturday morning. The quake was a magnitude 6.1, but was later revised. It hit at 3:19 a.m. local time, with a depth of 9.9 kilometres or 6.2 miles and was located at 6.878°N, 82.287°W.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 6-magnitude earthquake shook southern Panama Saturday. "Everyone started screaming," said Vanessa del Leon, who told CNN that she felt the earthquake in David, about 110 miles south of the earthquake's epicenter. "We heard a lot of things breaking and computer keyboards smashing on the floor. This hotel has eight floors and it swayed like a palm tree." There were no immediate reports of damage or injury from the quake, which hit about 238 miles southwest of the capital of Panama City. - UPI

MYSTERY: 50 Metre Crater in the Baltic Island Stuns Geologists?!

Craters are normally created by two celestial bodies impacting each other, such as a meteorite hitting a planet or a caldera based on volcanism or subsidence from underground explosions or a phreatic (ground water) eruption or through the sinking of the surface or a hole formed in the ground produced by an explosion near or below the surface. In the Baltic Islands, a 50 metre crater has suddenly developed, leaving geologists and scientists stunned. Here is a translated report from the Bild.

On the Baltic island of Usedom (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), the earth has opened up about 50 meter long and 4 meters deep. The gaping canyon looks like the little brother of the Grand Canyon in the USA. Did an ancient cavity collapse? Or is this a meteor strike? In the middle of a field at Zirchow gapes the mysterious hole. BILD reader reporter Andrew discovered it while walking. He believes: “This is a case of subsidence or sand collapsed. On the crater walls can be seen pattern “And. The gorge runs to a small lake. “That’s where bubbles rise mysterious out of the water.” It bubbles suspiciously- perhaps a gas. Probably, in the next few days, the earth will move again. What exactly happened here? Harry Strohm (52) from the State Agency of Geology “said that surface water probably dug into this groove. This may be part of an earlier hole in GDR times. By the holes under the ground, the earth could be now collapsed. “So far there have been no landslides though the cause of the crater is still unknown. Usedom may not be in any danger. A geologist is yet to figure out if the hole will increase in size.
This definitely looks more like signs and precursors of an imminent and monumental geological upheaval of planet Earth.

MASS ANIMAL DIE-OFF: Thousands of Dead Sardines in India!

Here's another case of mass animal die-off, originating out of Calangute in India.

Large quantities of dead fish on the sands of Calangute beach on Thursday took the shine of Goa's most famous tourist spot, but this did not deter tourists from enjoying themselves, even as water sports operators and hawkers went about their daily business. The dead sardines were apparently deposited at high tide on the beach on Thursday night. "They are scattered for more than a kilometre on Calangute beach," a fishermen said. Water sports operators and local fishermen said the fishes may have been dumped by some fishing vessel at sea. While the sight of dead sardines -- though these had not yet started stinking when TOI visited the spot around noon on Thursday -- created a nuisance on the beach, tourists, mostly domestic and a few foreigners appeared bent on having some fun on the beach. - The Times of India
