ANCIENT ALIENS: Season 3 - Aliens and the Founding Fathers!

Ancient Aliens.
The History Channel continues its popular series on extraterrestrials, alien theorists and ancient civilizations with season three of Ancient Aliens.

The following video playlist constitutes program eleven, entitled Aliens and Founding Fathers and runs for 44 minutes. It examines whether extraterrestrials influenced the founding of the United States of America.

"What is the meaning behind secret messages found throughout Washington, D.C.? Did America's Founding Fathers know something about ancient aliens that the general public did not? And if so, could this knowledge have been incorporated into the symbols, architecture, and even the founding documents of the United States of America?" - The History Channel.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL/UFO MEMES: Exopolitical Disclosure: Did The Ancient Mayan Civilization Have Contact With Extraterrestrials?!

Did the ancient Mayans had contact with alien visitors who left behind evidence of their existence?

Sundance winner Juan Carlos Rulfo's Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond is currently in production for release next year to coincide with the end of the Mayan calendar, reports the Wrap. Producer Raul Julia-Levy said the documentary-makers were working in cooperation with the Mexican government for what he said was "the good of mankind". He said the order to collaborate had come directly from the country's president, Álvaro Colom Caballeros. "Mexico will release codices, artefacts and significant documents with evidence of Mayan and extraterrestrial contact, and all of their information will be corroborated by archaeologists," he said. "The Mexican government is not making this statement on their own -- everything we say, we're going to back it up." Caballeros himself was conspicuous by his absence from the statement released by Julia-Levy. So far, the minister of tourism for the Mexican state of Campeche, Luis Augusto García Rosado, appears to be the highest-ranking government official to go on record confirming the discovery of extraterrestrial life, but he's not holding back.

In a statement, Rosado spoke of contact "between the Mayans and extraterrestrials, supported by translations of certain codices, which the government has kept secure in underground vaults for some time". In a telephone conversation with the Wrap, he also spoke of "landing pads in the jungle that are 3,000 years old". The documentary is believed to focus in part on previously unexplored sections of a Mayan site at Calakmul, Mexico, as well as a number of sites in Guatemala, where officials are also backing the documentary. "Guatemala, like Mexico, home to the ancient-yet-advanced Mayan civilisation ... has also kept certain provocative archeological discoveries classified, and now believes that it is time to bring forth this information in the new documentary," Guatemala's minister of tourism, Guillermo Novielli Quezada, said in a statement. The Mayan calendar ends on 21 December 2012, a fact which conspiracy theorists have used to predict imminent apocalypse. However, according to Mayanist scholars there is no evidence that the Mayans themselves expected cataclysmic events to occur once the calendar had reached its denouement. More likely, it would simply mark the beginning of another 5,125-year-long cycle.

WEATHER ANOMALIES: Winnipeg Breaks October Heat Record!

It has been feeling nothing like fall in Winnipeg, which broke two heat records on Wednesday with temperatures above 30 C.

Students sit in the shade at the University of Winnipeg's campus on Wednesday.
The mercury hit 31 C in the city around 3 p.m. CT, breaking the previous October 5 heat record of 28.3 C that was set in 1943, said CBC Manitoba meteorologist John Sauder. It also makes Wednesday the hottest October day in Winnipeg since weather records began 140 years ago, Sauder said. "The old record for any day in October was 30.5 C, so this is pretty significant," he said. "Temperatures right now are a full 18 degrees above what is considered seasonal normal." Sauder added that he believes several heat records will be broken across southern Manitoba on Wednesday afternoon. His extended forecast calls for a hot end to the week, with daytimes high expected to reach 26 C and 24 C on Thursday and Friday, respectively. However, it's expected to be quite windy on both days, Sauder said. Temperatures should cool off a little over the weekend, and Winnipeggers can expect scattered showers, he added. - CBC.

GLOBAL VOLCANISM: South Lampung in Indonesia Prepares for Major Eruption And Worst-Case Scenario of Mount Anak Krakatau Volcano!

As the regency closest to Mount Anak Krakatau, South Lampung is preparing the worst-case scenario to anticipate the increasing activities of Mount Anak Krakatau. In fact, the current alert level of Krakatau is on level 3 (out of maximum 4).

"We have been coordinating with all respective agencies. Even today, we have held a coordination meeting with the Health Office, Public Works Office and Disaster Management Task Force," Secretary of South Lampung Regency Sutono told VIVAnews. "The district government set up a task force which is assigned in every district closest to Anak Krakatau. Emergency shelters in the villages are prepared. We’re recruiting people who want to volunteer to support the shelters," Sutono continued. The number of task force members who have been trained for disaster response, according to him, was 60 people. While there are 12 trained health personnel of the team which work with health centers in each district. The shelters are located at 42 points. Each has a telecommunication equipment or handy talky to disseminate the latest information on the activity of Anak Krakatau.

In addition, since one and half month ago subdistrict and village heads have been instructed to socialize to residents the condition of Anak Krakatau, of which the status was now ‘alert’ (level 3). "In addition, the subdistrict and village heads should make and socialize evacuation routes." In addition, Sutono said, South Lampung regency has prepared warehouses for food stocks such as noodles. "Masks to tackle volcanic dust and equipment needed for evacuation are all set. The point is, our party is ready to anticipate disaster. We also improved the communication and information between posts, so they can better anticipate it," he stressed. However, Sutono adviced people not to panic. "Because the activity of Anak Krakatau now is neither going to cause a tsunami nor an earthquake like they did in 1883 (when Krakatau erupted), even up to 50 years ahead," he said. Previously, National Agency of Disaster Mitigation (BNPB) Head of Data and Public Relations Center, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said it is less likely that Anak Krakatau would erupt immensely. Let alone causing a tsunami that rumored to reach Jakarta. Not to mention Jakarta, the distance between the mountain and the coast in Lampung and Banten is about 40 to 50 kilometers. "So it less likely to be affected by a volcanic eruption." - VIVA News.

GEOLOGICAL UPHEAVAL: Huge Sinkhole in Surrey, England!

A huge sinkhole opened up in Surrey, England swallowing up a Vauxhall Meriva car.

Many of us get that sinking feeling on the way to work. For this driver, however, the problem ran a little deeper. As she made her way to her office, the ground opened up and swallowed her car. Fortunately the motorist, who has not been named, was able to clamber out of the giant pothole, caused by a water main bursting below the road on the A320, between Woking and Chertsey in Surrey. Her silver Vauxhall Meriva was not so lucky, becoming submerged in the crater as tens of thousands of gallons of water gushed from the fractured pipe. Witness Paul Rimmer said the rupture washed away layers of soil beneath the tarmac road surface, causing it to cave in.

He added: ‘The driver managed to get out while stuck quite far down in the hole and she walked off to work, leaving engineers to haul out the car. ‘However, the car then just sank lower and lower and then it started to fill up with water. She had a very lucky escape.’ The large pipe erupted at about 5am, flooding the busy road. The female motorist driving her hatchback had stopped her car after hearing a loud noise coming from the road. In a matter of seconds, the road then gave way and swallowed her car up. Police were called to the scene shortly afterwards and the road was then closed at around 7am. The water was turned off by 8.30am, but the road remained closed on Wednesday lunchtime because of the substantial hole in the southbound carriageway. - Daily Mail.

PLANETARY TREMORS & VOLCANISM: Seismic Swarm Developing In Iceland - Quakes Strikes the Reykjanes Ridge & at Katla Volcano?!

Yesterday, I told you about the large earthquake swarm at the Katla volcano in Iceland, where officials have becomed quite concerned that a major eruption is imminent. Today, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck the volcano at a depth of 5.2 km (3.1 miles). The quake hit at 01:06:20 UTC, Thursday 6th October 2011, with an epicentre of 25 km ( 15.3 miles) southwest of Grimsey, Iceland.

In addition to this, sections of the Reykjanes Ridge, was hit by several tremors today.

5.6 Magnitude Earthquake in Reykjavik Ridge.
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has struck the region at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the quake hit at 23:02:12 UTC, with an epicentre of 890 km ( 553 miles) southwest of Reykjavik. Then, a magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit the Ridge, at a depth of 10.1 km (6.3 miles), the quake hit at 23:52:20 UTC, with an epicentre of 901 km ( 559 miles) southwest of Reykjavik. This was followed by a magnitude 5.0 earthquake at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the tremor hit at 00:03:04 UTC, with an epicentre of 890 km ( 553 miles) southwest of Reykjavik. The largest of the tremors, was a magnitude 5.6 earthquake that struck at a depth of 10.2 km (6.3 miles), the quake hit at 00:39:33 UTC, with an epicentre of 901 km ( 559 miles) southwest of Reykjavik.

No tsunami warning was issued for any of the tremors, and there are no reports of any damage at this time.

It should be noted that the Reykjanes Ridge formulates part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (MAR), the longest mountain range in the world, in the Atlantic Ocean. This should be of concern since MAR separates the Eurasian Plate and the North American Plate in the North Atlantic, and the African Plate from the South American Plate in the South Atlantic; extending from the Gakkel Ridge northeast of Greenland southward to the Bouvet Triple Junction in the South Atlantic.

MONUMENTAL EARTH CHANGES - The Earliest Winter Return in Lake Tahoe, California Since 1969 - Snow Level Rises Above 6,000 Feet?!

"It's unusual for fall. This is more typical of a winter storm."

A cold weather front took aim at Northern California Tuesday, packing a potent punch with as much as 10 inches of snow for the Sierra peaks, the earliest return of winter conditions to Tahoe since 1969, according to weather forecasters.

According to the Central Sierra Snow Lab, the flurries predicted with this storm will make the shortest duration between snow storms since 1969. The lab – located in Norden – got its last measurable snow on July 1 – 96 days ago. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Sierra in advance of the storm. The forecasters predicted 5-10 inches of snow above 6,000 feet with winds gusting to 50 mph below the mountain ridges. At lake level in Tahoe, the forecasters warned residents to be ready for several inches of slushy snow.Temperatures were expected to drop 15 to 25 degrees when the heart of the storm crosses over the northern half of the state early Wednesday. "It's unusual for fall. This is more typical of a winter storm," said Steve Anderson, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Monterey. "On average, heavy rain doesn't typically start until the end of October in Northern California. So we're a few weeks early."

He blamed a high-pressure system that's been hanging over the Midwest for making the storm dive further south. Typically, storms at this time of year would be hitting points farther north. The heaviest rain would be north of San Francisco and in the coastal mountains from Point Reyes to Santa Rosa. There is no threat of mudslides because the ground will be able to soak up the rain since it's still early in the season, Anderson said. Winds up to 30 mph are expected throughout the San Francisco Bay area and Central Valley, with gusts topping 50 mph at the Sierra crest. Because trees have not yet shed their leaves for the winter, the high winds threaten to snap limbs into power lines. "The leaves can act as a sail and bring some of those trees down," said Joe Molica, a spokesman for Pacific Gas & Electric Co., which serves 9.4 million electricity and natural gas customers in the northern and central parts of the state. - KTVU.
