April 9, 2016 - SAUDI ARABIA - An unusual freak hailstorm hit Saudi Arabia on April 6, 2016 covering the desert, streets and entire cities with white icy stones.

The thunderstorms were so powerful that they created a tornado just 100km way from Riyadh.

Stormy conditions are growing and sweeping across Saudi Arabia since Monday, April 3, 2016.

The storm line has now reached central Saudi Arabia where the desert suddenly turned white on April 6, 2016.

The low is sweeping from North to South and is currently flooding the city of Ta'if in biblical proportions.

Extreme wind gusts are also accompanying the stormy weather.
















So there is cold air coming from the north and warm air coming from the south.

As the clash in the center of the country, they create a kind of belt, responsible for this extreme weather phenomenon.

Sometimes the strong winds are creating sand tornado and sandstorms. This one was captured just 100km away from Riyadh!

This extreme weather also reached Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and western Yemen.

EXTREME WEATHER ANOMALIES: Freak Hailstorm - Tennis Ball-Sized Hail Pounds Oakey, Australia Damaging Houses And Cars!

November 29, 2015 - AUSTRALIA
- Hailstones the size of tennis balls have turned the streets of Oakey white.

A freak hailstorm showered parts of the Darling Downs with hail between 3.50pm and 4.20pm this afternoon.

Hail has also been reported in Highfields and Pittsworth.

Houses and cars in Oakey have sustained damage from the hail.

WEATHER ANOMALIES: Freak Hail Storm Hits Durban, South Africa - "Worst" in Durban Aviation History!

A freak hailstone storm caught Durban off guard on Friday night with unconfirmed reports of damage to roof tiles, gardens and uprooted trees.

Chris Hoare, in Durban North, said hail got caught in verges and gardens, and was as much as "six inches thick". His son and friends took pictures of themselves playing in the hail. However, some suburbs like Glenmore and Westville escaped the storm. Wisani Maluleke, a forecaster at the Durban Weather Office, said temperatures were around 18ÂșC on Friday night, and large clouds were visible over Durban. "There were reports of hailstones, but we cannot say where," Maluleke said. A massive ice storm hit Virginia airport in Durban North. Spokesman for the Durban Air Show Ray de Vries said that this is one of the worst hailstorms the aviation fraternity had seen at the airport. "It looked strangely beautiful. The airport was closed due to dangerous conditions."

A number of private planes are expected for the Springbok-England Test match, but de Vries said that airport authorities were confident the storm wouldn't affect planes flying in for the game. Durbanites, unused to extreme weather conditions, were abuzz on Twitter, while TrafficSA put out a weather warning for motorists, and emergency workers were on high alert. Some people tweeted that it was hailing "mini ice cubes" and that it was as "thick as snow".  Traffic man Rob Byrne posted pictures of a hail-covered road. Rassie Pieterse tweeted: "Hail in Durban, and it's warmer than Bloem" while others called it a "freak storm". - The Independent.

WEATHER ANOMALIES: Freak Hailstorm Slams Scotland In Summer!


Scotland’s sunniest city experienced a freak hailstorm this week after ominous clouds moved over Dundee.

Thunder, lightning, heavy rainfall and hailstones hit Dundee on Thursday afternoon. The city played host to winter weather in the middle of June, days after the summer solstice. Freak summer hailstorm in Scotland's sunniest city. The Lochee area in the west of the city was among the worst hit by the storm, which occurred at around 4.15pm and lasted for 45 minutes. Tayside Fire and Rescue did not receive any reports of flash flooding during the storm. Dundee resident Connor Beaton caught the freak weather on video on Thursday.

STV weater presenter Sean Batty said: "While hailstones surprise many during the summer months, in actual fact this is when they are most likely, with more warmth around which in turn develops large thunder clouds and these heavy showers. "Hailstones don't just happen in cold weather, they are developed by these huge clouds which bubble up high into the atmosphere where it is very cold and these hailstones form before they fall. "Over the past few days conditions have been perfect in parts of the country for the development of these slow-moving deeply convective shower which produce huge amounts of energy meaning these torrential downpours can happen."

WEATHER ANOMALIES: Freak Hailstorm Destroys Crops in India!


Several areas in Kullu and Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh were lashed by a severe hailstorm this afternoon, causing extensive damage to crops.
The freak weather conditions continued in the region with isolated rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms, keeping farmers on tenterhooks. Apple, wheat, cherry, almond, pear, plum, apricot, stone fruits and flowers suffered due to the untimely rains. Meanwhile light showers occurred at Seobagh in Kullu which recorded 6 mm of rain while Kumarsein in Shimla and Nadaun in Hamirpur had 2 mm of rains. The day temperatures rose marginally at some places in Himachal while minimum temperatures were near normal in most parts of the state.

The maximum temperature slided by one degree in Shimla to stay at 24.4 degree while it increased by 3.5 degree at Una to settle at 38.4 degree. The day temperatures remained stable at Sundernagar, Bhuntar, Mandi, Dharamsala, Nahan and Solan while minimum night temperatures were near normal. Shimla recorded a low of 16 degree while Una and Dharmasala recorded minimum temperature at 20.5 degree, followed by Palampur 19.0 degree, Mandi 18.6 degree, Sundernagar 18.0 degree and Solan 16.6 degree.Nahan was hottest during the night with a low of 21.4 degree. The local Met office has predicted more rains and thundershowers at many places during next 48 hours.
