EXTRATERRESTRIAL & UFO MEMES: National UFO Alert - Four American States Report 200 December Cases!

January 01, 2013 - UNITED STATES -The National UFO ALERT Rating System has been updated January 1, 2013, with California, Michigan, Florida and Texas moving to a UFO Alert 3 as the highest reporting states during the month of December 2012, filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

California was the leading high-reporting state in December with 75 cases, up from 53 cases in November, 83 cases in October, 69 cases filed in September and 75 in August.  Those states in a UFO Alert 4 category with 13 or more reports include: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Indiana, Ohio, Arizona and Maryland.  All other states move to a UFO Alert 5 category with lower numbers of UFO activity. The Watch States - with 10 or more cases - are Colorado, New Jersey, Kentucky and Tennessee.  MUFON released December statistics January 1, where the total number of reported UFO sightings is listed by state. The UFO Examiner uses these statistics to rate states. The entire country was moved back to the lowest alert level - UFO Alert 5.  California takes the lead with 75 cases; Michigan, 45; Florida, 42; and Texas, 38 cases.

Those states with 13 or more reports, the next reporting tier level, are a UFO Alert 4 status: Pennsylvania, 22; Georgia, 20; North Carolina, 19; New York, 17; Indiana, 14; Ohio, 13; Arizona, 13; and Maryland, 13.  Our Watch States this month are - with 10 reports or more: Colorado, 11; New Jersey, 10; Kentucky, 10; and Tennessee, 10 cases.  The sphere remains the most-reported UFO shape with 158 December reports; down from 168 reports in November; 161 in October, 246 in September and 238 August reports. Other shape reports include: Circle, 121; Star-like, 95; Triangle, 84; Fireball, 69; Disc, 67; Other, 66; Unknown, 63; Oval, 54; Flash, 36; Cylinder, 29; Cigar, 25; Diamond, 14; Square/Rectangle, 13; Boomerang, 12; Chevron, 9; Egg, 9; Bullet/Missile, 9; Blimp, 8; Cone, 8; Teardrop, 6; Saturn-like, 3; and Cross, 1. The object's distance from the witness includes: Less than 100 feet, 71 cases; 101 to 500 feet, 92 cases; 501 feet to one mile, 140 cases; over one mile, 146 cases; unknown, 190; and no value stated, 8.  In addition, there were "25 landings, hovering, or takeoffs reported and 2 entities observed."  The most interesting UFO reports do not necessarily come from high reporting states - but those states with higher numbers do account for some of the most interesting evidence to study. While UFO sightings seem to pop up randomly around the country, this list is meant to offer a small insight into where Americans are filing reports. - Roger Marsh / UFO Examiner.

UFO SIGHTINGS: Man Captures Video Of Strange Explosion In The Skies Over Sacramento?!

January 01, 2013 - UNITED STATES - A Sacramento man scanning the night sky caught a sudden burst of light through his telescope. He recorded that strange sight with his smart phone.

CBS13 shared the video with experts to see if they could solve the mystery. This mysterious little tale begins earlier this week when Good Day Sacramento's Cody Stark got this message on Facebook: "I have something on video no one has ever seen. I had my telescope out, caught an explosion in space. Wanna see the video?" Cody's response? Absolutely! The video was shot with an iPhone through the eyepiece of a telescope, so CBS13 had to enlarge it to get a better look. It was shot on Dec. 20 around 5 p.m. in Sacramento by viewer Elijah Prychodzko.

"I saw something that I'd never seen before. I saw another object orbiting this - whatever it was up there, and I've never seen anything like that before," said Prychodzko. He thought it was a little strange so he put his phone down, called his nephew, and then returned to shoot a second video clip. "Oh my God, it just blew up. Something blew up," he's heard saying on the video. "As soon as I put the camera to the telescope it just blew up and I didn't know what to say," he told CBS13. So Cody sent the video off to Dr. Stephen P Maran, who wrote the book Astronomy for Dummies. Dr. Maran responded by saying he didn't recognize the "explosion" as a known astronomical phenomenon. "My personal opinion is that it is not an astronomical event," he wrote. Whatever it was, it was almost never seen by Dr. Maran or anyone else - because Prychodzko nearly sold it on Craigslist. "Almost got rid of it a week before. I was trying to sell it on Craigslist and I was getting offers and, man, you know what, at this time I'm glad I didn't sell it," he said. CBS 4 also contacted a Vatican expert who said it could be some sort of light refraction. What do you suspect the "explosion" is? - CBS13 Sacramento.

MASS UFO SIGHTINGS: Rash Of UFOs Seen Over New Zealand - More Sightings Of Lights Across Country?!

December 28, 2012 - NEW ZEALAND - The mysterious lights spotted over Taranaki have also been reported in Napier, Wellington, Nelson and Christchurch, but a rational explanation has been offered. Jennie Velvin was startled by the sight of two orange orbs travelling past her house on Ngamotu Rd in close succession on Christmas night. She said the objects looked like low, fast-moving fiery suns travelling southward. Since the Taranaki Daily News reported on the sighting yesterday calls have flooded in of further sightings of unidentified flying objects. Anne Murdoch, of Oakura, said she saw three on Christmas Eve. "They seemed to be coming from Ahu Ahu Rd.

"They got about halfway through the beach then disappeared." "I saw that! I was on my way to a church type thing on Christmas day and I saw it go over Francis Douglas going southwest towards the Westown shops! I thought it was just me!" a commenter on the Daily News Facebook page offered. It appears the mysterious fiery orbs are not new on the local scene. Jacinta Lawrence, of New Plymouth, said she saw an object of the exact same description about a year ago. "It was a big orange ball, very strange." Georgina Hudson, who lives near Ngamotu Rd, said she saw similar objects that were triangular-shaped in February. Ms Hudson said she rang the police and asked them to contact the control tower at the airport to warn them, but the police did not take action. She didn't think the objects were extra-terrestrial but they were definitely some sort of craft, she said. "I don't think it's somebody from space, but probably Nasa doing checks."

But one self-described UFO fanatic from New Plymouth said there was a darker explanation for the objects. "They're coming in different shapes and forms," Shane Lowery said. "Sometimes people get hypnotised when they see them, they can't move, they are paralysed. "They are demonic, there is something going on." But there are also plenty of people offering a rational explanation for the floating fire balls. "I was drunk, saw four of them and wasn't even dumb enough to think they were UFOs. "They were lanterns as you could see them burn out and fall back down," Corey Nicolson wrote on the Daily News Facebook page. "They would have been paper lanterns. "I saw some of these being set off in Merrilands around 8:30-9pm," one stuff.co.nz commenter said. New Plymouth Astronomical Society president Rod Austin said paper lanterns were the most logical explanation for the unidentified objects. "We've had a lot of fog and they get up to a height where they appear larger than they actually are." He said the south-west direction the objects were reported as travelling in could be explained by the easterly breeze Taranaki has had in the last few days. "I don't think it's got anything to do with the Mayan end of the world," Mr Austin said. - Stuff.

MASS UFO SIGHTINGS: UFO "Nothing Like I've Seen In 30 Years" - Rash Of UFO Sightings Across New Zealand?!

December 27, 2012 - NEW ZEALAND - People who saw strange lights seen in the sky on Christmas evening insist the festive spirit had nothing to do with it.  Sightings of a "UFO" were reported in New Plymouth and Wellington, although a witness from Waikanae believes there is an earthly explanation.

FILE - Illustration.
Jennie Velvin, of New Plymouth, said everyone would think she had had one too many wines when she saw a UFO.  But she was positive she had not touched the booze and that even her husband, John - normally a sceptic - could confirm there had been something strange in the sky above Ngamotu Rd, New Plymouth.  Velvin takes her dogs out the back of the house for toileting at 10pm every evening and is familiar with the night sky.  "I always look up to the sky to see what's there. Sometimes I see a satellite, like a slow-moving star, and we get a lot of helicopters."  But she said what she saw on this night was not normal.  "This was nothing like I've seen in 30 years."  She described the object as a small, fast-moving fiery sun that was heading south towards Oakura.  "It was about the size of a circle you make with your arms.  "It was really low, it looked as though I could have reached out and touched it."  She said she yelled to her husband to come outside.  "He wouldn't believe me if I told him."  The mysterious object had already disappeared into cloud by the time he got there, but a second one the same as the first travelled past soon after, and he narrowly missed capturing it with his camera.  Velvin said she could understand if people were sceptical about her sighting but declared she was "not a kook".  She did not believe in aliens but was frustrated she could not explain the sighting, she said.  "I'm sure you'll get people saying it was shaped like a space ship, but I'm just determined to find someone who saw this thing, I don't know where it came from."  She said she remained open-minded.  "I don't think it's little grey men, but I've always been a believer there's something out there."  Chris Welson said he noticed three orange lights travelling over New Plymouth on Christmas night about 10.30pm.  "They were travelling pretty fast and the first two were reasonably close together while the third was a little further behind.  "They were going in a straight line heading south or southwest by the looks of things."  But Doug Batterbee suspects three bright lights he saw in the sky at Waikanae on Christmas night were fire balloons - small hot air balloons which use a fire to warm the air inside and lift them up.

He was puzzled when he saw the first flickery, orange light quite high up in the sky, but then he saw another two which appeared to have been launched no more than three blocks away from where he was watching.  Strange lights seen in the sky over Taranaki in February turned out to be floating lanterns.  A man said he and two other people also saw something strange in the sky above the Wellington suburb of Johnsonville around 10.30pm on Christmas night.  An orange light which appeared to be about 4500 metres above ground, and two to three times more luminous than an aircraft's navigation light, had approached fast from the northwest. Then it went to the left, returned to where he had first seen it, shimmered and disappeared.  During the 15 seconds he watched it, the light moved very fast, the man, who did not want to be named, said.  The unnamed man, who said he was a pilot with about 400 hours flying time, including night flying, he had never seen anything like it before.  Craig Henrksen posted on Stuff's Facebook page his account of a UFO, seen from his home near Wellington airport.  ''I hadn't touched a drop of alcohol either,'' he wrote. ''At 0145 on 26th Dec I saw one of these 'lights'. I thought it was a reflection of street lamps on my window but realised it was moving. I opened the door and watched this orange ball of flame move at a constant speed heading south almost as high as a plane would fly until roughly 40 secs later it was too small and far away to see. Im pretty sure it wasn't Santa.''  And this video below was posted on YouTube, showing strange lights over Paekakariki on the Kapiti Coast. - Stuff.

HIGH STRANGENESS: "Wormhole" UFO Filmed Over Ankara, Turkey?!

December 23, 2012 - TURKEY - A UFO video posted to YouTube shows what looks like a giant "wormhole" like those seen in sci-fi movies hovering in the darkening skyline over Ankara, Turkey. What is it?

The video, shows a circular, unidentified flying object, broken into several concentric rings, hovering over a high-rise building as a Turkish radio station plays in the background.

The object is filmed through a window, a feature used by hoaxers, but the object in this video stays in place as the camera moves and seems to slightly change shape and aspect to the camera.

Most comments on the sighting are in Turkish, but a quick translation on Google reveals most people believe it is an authentic sighting.

The sighting was reported to have occurred last Friday, and the radio program seems to be a Christmas carol sung in Turkish. The video has had more than 30,000 views in just two days. What do you think? Is this a UFO? Or can it be explained some other way? - Examiner.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL & UFO MEMES: Closed Triangle UFO Cases - January 2012 Yields 22 Reports!

December 16, 2012 - UNITED STATES - The triangle remains a top three UFO shape for 2012 with 685 reports filed through December 15, 2012, with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The number of actual UFOs will be lower eventually as MUFON completes investigations and rules out Mother Nature and anything man made. Looking back at 2012 with just 16 days left in the year, MUFON is reporting that 157 of those 685 reports are now closed cases with a final determination as Unknown.

As all cases close out by the end of the first quarter 2013, researchers can then begin the task of sifting through the year's Unknown cases for further study. While many other reports have closed out - 489 of the 685 are closed - those cases closed as an Unknown will be the most interesting triangle cases for further study.
While many UFO cases have no photos or video,
many witnesses provide an illustration of the event.
This drawing is from Case 34812 that occurred January
10, 2012, in Jonesville, VA. Credits: MUFON database.

The National UFO Examiner will be reviewing all Unknown closed cases once investigators complete their work. Today we review 22 triangle cases from 13 states closed as Unknowns from January 2012. The witness statements here are edited testimony.

You may view the complete and unedited testimony using the case links provided. Further 2012 updates will include a link to each month's overview of closed Unknown cases and a general 2012 concluding triangle feature will be posted when appropriate in early 2013.

Many of the January cases you are about to read - 14 of the 22 cases are east coast states - include testimony where the object was close enough to the witness to warrant a very good description.

Investigators continue to try and weed out objects that may be U.S. military aircraft in a secret, testing phase, although many wonder why testing would be conducted over the areas where witnesses were watching - and often with the object so close to ground level. - Examiner.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL & UFO MEMES: Triangle UFOs - 30 November Days Yields 86 Domestic Reports in the United States!

December 05, 2012 - UNITED STATES - Three days into December 2012 and only a single UFO report has been filed for the triangle shape, while low flying triangle UFOs seemed to be a frequent reporting description during November 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Please report UFO activity to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) at mufon.com. Credits: Examiner image illustration.
MUFON recorded 86 U.S. triangle UFO reports during November 2012 where the event occurred during November. The number of reports made for this shape is typical for 2012 monthly reporting. Please keep in mind that the number may increase over time as people report events that occurred during that month in the future. The single triangle report for December occurred in Hobart, IN, on December 2, 2012, where the object was described as "sleek and a dark metal color with no windows, no landing gears" in Case 44284.
No further information was available on the Indiana case as MUFON investigates. The following is a list of November cases we're watching as the MUFON investigations continue, including cases that were previously covered here, and the final case disposition - if available - is included. When a report is closed as an Unknown, MUFON investigators have ruled out Mother Nature and anything man made.

November triangle reports began at 8 p.m. on November 1, in Merlin, Josephine County, OR, with Case 43656, a report that has since been closed as an Unknown.
"I live on two acres in the country with a good view of the sky," the reporting witness stated. "I walked out to look at the stars and noticed lights coming low and slow from out of the west. I called my wife to come out and look because the lights were coming from an unusual direction. I didn't know what it was. I just knew it wasn't an airplane because airplanes are my hobby. "It was a triangle-shaped object with a cluster of lights in the front followed by a red blinking light in the center and another light close to that. At first it looked like two separate crafts, but as it got closer we could see that it was one big one. It headed towards the north and then banked towards the east and then disappeared. There was no noise at all."

6:30 a.m., Harrisburg, Saline County, IL, Case 43659. Under investigation.
10 a.m., Cherokee County, GA, Case 43672. Under investigation.
6:35 p.m., Phoenix, Maricopa County, AZ, Case 43729. Under investigation.

November 3, 2012

5:30 p.m., Katy, Waller County, TX, Case 43835. Completed - Unknown. "We noticed the green sphere-like object in the sky and both observed that it was moving back and forth and up and down," the witness stated. "We both knew this was not a plane. There also was another, smaller object. The pictures were taken between two and four seconds apart, so it was moving at a great speed. There is a small airport nearby, and we are very familiar with the landing and flight patterns, also colors of airplanes. There is a green outline in the clouds, and it looks like a green beam going downward. The object changed shape or possible turned over, and went to the south where it seemed to join with a cloaked, large object, which can be seen in the last photos. It looks like a cloud, but there is a clear outline of a huge disk, and cloud/vapor trail coming from the south/southwest."
9:35 p.m., Denver, Denver County, CO, Case 43686. Under investigation.
10:30 p.m., Portsmouth, Bristol County, RI, Case 44005. Under investigation.

9 p.m., Rodeo, Contra Costa County, CA, Case 43713. Under investigation. Case originally covered as: Witnesses report low and slow moving objects over California.
9:10 p.m., Herculaneum, Jefferson County, MO, Case 43707. Completed - Unknown. "Observed three lights forming a triangle in the sky," the witness stated. "The lights stayed on and did not blink. I was able to determine that the object that the lights were attached to was dark and triangular-shaped. The object seemed fairly large. When I first observed the object it was hovering. I watched it for what seemed to be 30 seconds. All of a sudden the lights flashed very brightly and the object took off at a very high rate of speed. I also heard a 'whooshing' sound that did not sound like a helicopter or airplane." Field Investigator: "The area of the sighting is VERY interesting. Herculaneum is located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Scott AFB is just across the Mississippi River in Illinois, and Herculaneum is the location of the largest integrated lead producer in the Western Hemisphere and the 3rd largest producer in the world. If something 'unknown' was to be seen hovering, this would be a likely area considering information obtained from previous sighting reports referencing water, mining areas and military bases as active areas."
9:20 p.m., Oakley, Contra Costa County, CA, Case 43811. Under investigation.
9:35 p.m., Vallejo, Solano County, CA, Case 43726. Under investigation.

November 6, 2012

4:50 a.m., Hazelwood, St. Louis County, MO, Case 43755. Closed - Unknown. "Noticed what I thought was an airplane fly across the highway," the witness stated. "It got above the field to the side of the highway I was on. I pulled over and watched it descend down while flying back over to the highway right over my car. The first time I saw it the only reason I noticed it was because it was hovering over the bridge like just above it making it maybe 100 feet above my car."
5:30 p.m., Jackson County, MO, Case 43750. Closed - Unknown. "We noticed a bright ball of light hovering over a central monument, Liberty Memorial," the witness stated. "We were curious and drove toward this part of town, only a five minute drive to reach this monument. We got there and the object began to move northwest at a slow stall and unusually low altitude. It became a jet. It flew low enough for us to see in detail the underbelly with no markings, all white non-commercial jet making no sound. Our car did not vibrate as expected to be directly under a jet. I watched as the jet slowly passed over our windshield and then looked at it through the moon roof briefly. We were driving 25 mph. The scale was 2/3 the space of our moon roof. It took approximately three seconds to cross the moon roof view. It kept up its northwest flight path with a constant speed and altitude."
7:25 p.m., Coshocton County, OH, Case 43780. Under investigation.

November 8, 2012

8:15 p.m., Calabash, Brunswick County, NC, Case 43813. Closed - Unknown. "A triangularly-shaped red light formation appeared, however, this was much, much, much different," the witness stated. "This object was approximately 40 feet tall and I would estimate at its widest point at least a quarter-mile wide.Truly amazing and scary at the same time. Each point of the triangle had its own red light and the ship flew with no sound and only 100-200 feet off the ground over houses and out towards the beach. The flashing white lights and orange orbs are very common in my area and no one knows anything. Hundreds of videos uploaded on Youtube and nothing."

November 9, 2012

12 a.m., Panama City, Bay County, FL, Case 43804. Under investigation.
4:10 a.m., Overland Park, Johnson County, KS, Case 43796. Under investigation.
6:25 p.m., Troy, Oakland County, MI, Case 43802. Under investigation.
7:40 p.m., Jacksonville, Duval County, FL, Case 43834. Closed - Unknown. "I glanced upward and saw a very unusual 'airplane' at about 80 degrees," the witness stated. "It was triangle-shaped (equilateral) and had softly glowing white light along its two forward edges. It appeared to be sub-divided by softly glowing light into six smaller equilateral triangles. It was moving at a high rate of speed in a straight-line flight path and I estimate that it was at an altitude of 5,000 feet. The object passed directly overhead and was silent. The object seemed to disappear when it was at about 70 degrees from my position. I estimate the duration of the event at between five and seven seconds."
10:05 p.m., Parkville, Platte County, MO, Case 43807. Closed - Unknown. "The object was about 200 or so feet above the tree line, but there were no sounds or wind gusts," the witness stated. "A helicopter flying that low would definitely give off some sound. I thought this was really strange, so I slowed down to about 15 mph because there were no other cars on the road at the time. I noticed the lights were in a triangle shape but I couldn't make out what was connecting the lights. The object was either transparent or blended very well with the night sky. The bright white light was on top. This light was the biggest and brightest. The smaller red and blue lights were underneath this main white light, forming the outline of the triangle shape. All the lights were flashing and becoming brighter at random times. When I was closest to the UFO I noticed it was not moving at all and was just hovering very low to the ground, maybe 200 or so feet above the tree line. I had to make a quick turn and I lost sight of it."

November 10, 2012

3 a.m., Alcona County, MI, Case 43814. Under investigation.
6:28 p.m., Castle Rock, Cowlitz, WA, Case 43828. Closed - Unknown. "Three totally silent, solid, reddish orange glowing spheres forming an equilateral triangle," the witness stated. "Size: Each sphere approximately the size of a dime held out at arm’s length. The three objects were close enough to my car that I almost stopped my car as I actually feared that they might block the road, but they stayed hovering where they had been the whole time so I continued southbound on Si Town Road. They were totally silent. They did not blink, rotate or change color. They maintained a constant luminosity until the end of this event. They were each very bright and each sphere was about as big around as a dime held at arm’s length."
9:15 p.m., San Anselmo, Marin County, CA, Case 43842. Under investigation.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL & UFO MEMES: National UFO Alert - Six States Report 218 UFO Sighting Cases in November!

December 02, 2012 - UNITED STATES - The National UFO ALERT Rating System has been updated December 1, 2012, with California, Florida, Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Arizona moving to a UFO Alert 3 as the highest reporting states during the month of November 2012, filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). California was the leading high-reporting state in November with 53 cases, down from 83 cases in October, 69 cases filed in September and 75 in August.

Those states in a UFO Alert 4 category with 13 or more reports include: Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, North Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado and New York.  All other states move to a UFO Alert 5 category with lower numbers of UFO activity. The Watch States - with 10 or more cases - are Georgia, Washington, New Jersey and Indiana.  MUFON released November statistics December 1, where the total number of reported UFO sightings is listed by state. The UFO Examiner uses these statistics to rate states. The entire country was moved back to the lowest alert level - UFO Alert 5.  California takes the lead with 53 cases; Florida, 37; Michigan, 37; Texas, 36; Pennsylvania, 30; Arizona, 25 cases.  Those states with 13 or more reports, the next reporting tier level, are a UFO Alert 4 status: Ohio, 22; Missouri, 21; Illinois, 20; North Carolina, 16; Tennessee, 16; Colorado, 15; and New York, 14.  Our Watch States this month are - with 10 reports or more: Georgia, 12; Washington, 12; New Jersey, 11; and Indiana, 10 cases.

The sphere remains the most-reported UFO shape with 168 November reports; down from 161 in October, 246 in September and 238 August reports. Other shape reports include: Circle, 117; Triangle, 100 (up from 81 September reports); Fireball, 83; Star-like, 82; Other, 75; Disc, 71; Unknown, 67; Oval, 58; Cylinder, 33; Boomerang, 32; Flash, 29; Square/Rectangle, 22; Cigar, 18; Teardrop, 15; Cone, 12; Diamond, 12; Bullet/Missile, 10; Egg, 9; Blimp, 8; Chevron, 8; Saturn-like, 4; and Cross, 1.  The object's distance from the witness includes: Less than 100 feet, 57 cases; 101 to 500 feet, 85 cases; 501 feet to one mile, 138 cases; over one mile, 160 cases; unknown, 200; and no value stated, 16.  In addition, there were "22 landings, hovering, or takeoffs reported and 0 entities observed."  The most interesting UFO reports do not necessarily come from high reporting states - but those states with higher numbers do account for some of the most interesting evidence to study. While UFO sightings seem to pop up randomly around the country, this list is meant to offer a small insight into where Americans are filing reports. - Roger Marsh / Examiner.

UFO SIGHTINGS: Mysterious Lights in the Skies Over Rotorua, New Zealand Spark UFO Claims!

November 28, 2012 - NEW ZEALAND - Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty have been a hotbed of unusual aerial activity, with multiple sightings of strange phenomena in the region's skies. On Monday or Tuesday night on October 29 or 30, at least four people at the Challenge petrol station on Malfroy Rd witnessed five glowing orbs move slowly across the road toward Sunset Rd for about 30 seconds before they disappeared behind trees. A Challenge petrol station employee, who only wanted to be known as Michelle, said she and at least three others watched the orbs, which appeared about 8pm just before dark. "A customer came in and asked 'can you see that?', we were all wondering what was going on. "They were all perfectly round with a larger orange-coloured orb leading about four smaller orbs all in a line about the same distance apart. They were moving on an angle before they disappeared behind some trees." Michelle said the glowing orbs were in the sky about 200m to 300m away from the service station forecourt and they watched them for about 30 seconds.

"There's no way they were lights from a plane, they were too big and were not flashing. Our first thought was it was something military but there was no noise and they were just floating there. "We were all a bit freaked out but we weren't imagining things. I'm not one to sensationalise things ... I was reading the paper every day to see if anyone else had seen them." Michelle said they all knew they had seen something strange but she had not talked about it since. "People might think I'm a bit mad, but I was in the air force and I know what an aeroplane looks like," she said. In another recent sighting, a Lake Tarawera resident who wished to remain anonymous, said he photographed a bright orange orb as it slowly moved across the lake about two months ago. The man, who lives on Spenser Rd, said he and his wife watched a colourful floating orb for about five minutes before it floated off to the right of Rainbow Mountain heading toward Tauranga. "We saw it heading from roughly a southern position heading north low in the sky. It appeared to be a rotating ball with varying colours. It was not along any flights paths that I see airplanes on either. "It continued going north at a steady, relatively slow speed, so I had time to get out the camera but unfortunately the picture isn't that great."

The man said he was left with a strange feeling he had seen something out of the ordinary. During a number of separate sightings this month a rural Rotorua resident filmed what he described as a "blinking ufo object and big bright sphere object" as well as a "bright light ufo, strange skies ufo and fireballs". The man uploaded his films to the video sharing website YouTube identifying himself as horsefarmer1000. In one of the videos there is also an obvious meteor shower at the end and satellites in the sky. But, there are some floating, flashing lights in the videos which do not look like an aeroplane or helicopter. One of the videos has had more than 3280 views with the filming taking place on November 4 and November 8. Horsefarmer1000 declined to be interviewed by The Daily Post but links to his films were sent to New Zealand UFO investigation organisation Ufocus NZ. Ufocus director Suzanne Hansen said she had watched the videos but said without speaking to the person it was difficult to say what was going on. "I did not see anything that could not be explained in conventional terms. "If people believe they have captured a UFO on film, we are able to send it to the United States for photographic data analysis with either a physicist and optical data analyst, or a retired Nasa scientist, who assist Ufocus NZ in our work. "We think this is a more credible way of ascertaining its veracity than posting it on YouTube." However, Ms Hansen said the organisation had received some very detailed sighting reports in the Rotorua/Tauranga/Kaimai area in the past year.

"In December 2011 we received a report from a small group of witnesses who observed an object, which was not an aircraft, which came to within 15m of their position and "followed" them for a couple of kilometres. "In March of this year, we received a report from a scientist who had a similar experience at a Northland beach and who provided an identical description to that given by the December 2011 witnesses. She said in June, a person onboard an aircraft approaching Tauranga from Rotorua saw a silver/white disc-shaped object at a low altitude above the treetops and in July a retired commercial pilot saw a large silver spherical object accompanied by two white/silver V shaped objects over Tauranga Harbour. Ms Hansen said there had been numerous reports in the Bay of Plenty and throughout the country, of very large orange balls of light. "It is interesting to note that when the December 2011 witnesses first sighted an anomalous light, it was a large orange orb. As it came closer they were able to see the object within this orange glow. "At close proximity the object had "switched off" the glow and the witnesses were able to see considerable detail." Ms Hansen said the organisation had received more UFO sighting reports this year than in any other year. If you have had an encounter or sighting of a UFO you can contact Ms Hansen here. - NZ Herald.

HIGH STRANGENESS: China Builds "Ring of Life / Path to Paradise in Heaven" Stargate in Liaoning Province - The Astonishing 3,000 Tons of Steel Construction is to Serve as a "Elevated Sighting Position", Comes Against the Background of Mass UFO Sightings Along China/India Border?!

November 24, 2012 - CHINA - Several days ago, I highlighted the growing security concern along the India/China border about hundreds sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

Top security brass of the Indian government is battling a "mysterious" threat from the Chinese side these days: tennis ball-sized UFOs.  Hundreds of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been sighted inside the Indian territory bordering China in recent months, raising security concerns. The issue, initially dubbed a minor one, has turned serious as India prepares to raise it at the diplomatic level with China. Sources said a meeting of the boundary coordination mechanism - a high level official mechanism set up by the two sides to ensure that the boundary incidents between their armed forces do not escalate - is being scheduled later this month where the issue of "luminous objects" will be at the centre of the discussion.  The Indian delegation will be led by Gautam Bambawale, the head of the China desk in the external affairs ministry, while China will be represented by its director general, department of boundary and oceanic affairs. Security officials from both sides will also participate in the meeting.  Highly placed sources said over 150 such incidents have been reported in the last three months and that India's protests at the local border personnel meeting with the Chinese have met with a cursory denial. The government's decision to raise the 'UFO ' issue at the diplomatic level follows a detailed report sought from the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Indian Army, and a spectrum analyser to ascertain the objects.  Surprisingly, the radar could not detect these objects indicating that they were nonmetallic.  Also, the spectrum analyser could not detect any signals emitted by them.  The army also flew a reconnaissance drone in the direction of the floating objects, but it didn't yield anything substantial.  "Earlier these reports coming from various sectors of the boundary were sketchy but now we have definite proof of these yellowish spheres coming from the Chinese side; and our concerns will be raised," a source said. - India Today

A few days ago, came reports that the Chinese government was building a stargate structure.

Not happy with building mysterious gigantic structures in the desert, the Chinese are now building inter-dimensional portals in the middle of their cities. I mean, come on, what the hell is this 157m high metal structure in the the city of Fushun, in northeast China’s Liaoning province? It’s made of an astounding 3000 tons of steel and it will glow at night — decorated with 12,000 LED lights. According to Fushun Municipal Government’s officials, this titanic structure does absolutely nothing except serve as an elevated sighting position. They claim it is pretty “landscape architecture” — like the Eiffel Tower. It uses four elevators to take people to the top. The Chinese media has been harsh about the building after a blogger posted these photos on Sina Weibo, which is the country’s “largest microblog platform”. Not surprising, since this thing costs $US16 million. According to Fushun’s Urban Construction Bureau, the “Ring of Life” means “a round sky and a path leading to a paradise in heaven.” - Gizmodo.

UFO SIGHTINGS: Alien Armada - Melbourne Man Films Strange Flying Objects Not Visible to the Naked Eye?!

November 22, 2012 - AUSTRALIA - A man from Melbourne has recently uploaded a video clip of his UFO sighting using an infrared camera. The film reveals an eerie show of lights not visible to the naked eye. The clip states in its introduction that the sighting was captured in Melbourne, Australia on November 11 (Sunday) around noon time. Asked for the particular location, the video uploader reveals he took the video at Moonee Ponds.

A panel of scientists concluded, on June 29, 1998, that science has badly neglected the study of Unidentified
Flying Objects (UFOs), despite numerous reports and considerable public interest. “It may be valuable to
carefully evaluate UFO reports to extract information about unusual phenomena currently unknown to
science," the experts, headed by Stanford University physicist Peter Sturrock, wrote in a report released
on Monday. This photo depicts a possible UFO sighting, as reported by the Journal of Scientific Exploration.
The clip is titled, "UFO - '''SKY ARMADA'' Fleet - Yes, '''SKY ARMADA''' - Daylight IR - Australia. 11.11" It says in the intro: "5 groups of 'objects' same direction approx 10 minutes apart." In describing his video clip, Lou says: "One of the most amazing sights I have ever recorded. Objects not visible to naked eye." "'Invasion' may be the wrong title, but that's what I felt. I hope they are benevolent." What the video shows is a strange formation of hovering lights, among others. The lights come in groups, without a particular motion pattern. At least one frame features countless lights moving rather slowly relative to the others. The sight brings to mind an 80s space game where the computer blasts the oncoming lights before it creates any damage.

One video commenter said: "(T)here's many more than 2 lights in this video:) I counted 32 of them and may have missed a couple along the way because most of them are moving so fast. Please watch the video carefully again...this guy is the real deal." "Ty Lou ... I film wild things daily also ... not the things you have but I am open to what you have seen," another viewer commented. UFOs in infrared: What can't the naked eyes see? It is understood this is not the first time Lou has fixed an infrared video camera in the skies. "When I first started, I use to get a few captures per week, then everday, now multiple captures in one day. Whatever 'they' are, there are lots of them - all over the world," he writes in the comments section. "Invisible" UFOs: What are these unidentified flying objects visible only in IR? - IBT.

UFO SIGHTINGS: Mile High Mystery - Experts Declare That Objects Seen Over Denver Are Not Drones, Planes, Helicopters, Birds or Insects?!

November 22, 2012 - DENVER, UNITED STATES - It’s a story that’s captured worldwide attention. UFOs caught on camera that appear to be launching and landing in the Denver metro area. An aviation expert could not identify it but we’ve heard from hundreds of viewers who think they can. So we talked to more experts, and asked an entomologist to analyze the video, but the answer is still anything but clear.

We first told you about the strange sightings in the mile high skies, after a Denver man, who does not want to be identified, brought us his home video. The flying objects are too fast to see with the naked eye, but when we slowed down his footage frame by frame, we saw something there. Aviation expert Steve Cowell could not identify it. “That is not an airplane, that is not a helicopter, those are not birds … I can’t identify it,” he said. The images were captured on camera from a hilltop in Federal Heights, looking south toward downtown Denver. That location just off of 84th Ave. and Federal Blvd. has now become a popular place for UFO sightseers, “I wanted to come out and get some footage for myself,” Jon Gardner of Broomfield told us. And we have been inundated with phone calls and emails from across the country and as far away as Greece, Croatia, Japan and Korea.

Many people have sent us pictures of similar looking objects. Others believe they have “solved our mystery.” The top 3 answers we have received are: remote controlled aircraft, military drones or insects. A remote controlled aircraft seems like a possible explanation, but the man who shot the video has spent several days in the area near 56th Ave. and Clay St. where the UFOs appear to be launching and landing. He hasn’t seen anyone flying a remote controlled toy, nor have any of the neighbors. Aviation expert Steve Cowell also suspected we had captured military drones until he watched the video, “I don’t think it’s a drone,” he said. He has never seen an unmanned aircraft that flies so erratically. In order to fly drones, the FAA must issue a certificate of authorization. The FAA has issued hundreds of COAs to the University of Colorado to fly drones north of Boulder, but it says no drones are authorized to fly over the Denver metro area. But by far the most popular theory is bugs. Many of you wrote to tell us the object in our video is most likely a fly. We showed the footage to entomologist, or insect expert, Mart Ann Hamilton. “This is a toughie. I’ve never seen anything like this,” she said. Hamilton watched the video over and over again, then she gave us her professional opinion. “After watching the various shots, I do not believe it’s an insect. The shape is inconsistent with an insect,” she said. But that won’t convince skeptics, like Bret Dallas. “The UFOs aren’t UFOs anymore, we’ve identified them as insects,” he said. - KDVR.

MASS UFO SIGHTINGS: Hundreds of UFO Sightings Inside Indian Territory Bordering China - Raises Major Security Concerns!

November 19, 2012 - INDIA - Top security brass of the Indian government is battling a "mysterious" threat from the Chinese side these days: tennis ball-sized UFOs.  Hundreds of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been sighted inside the Indian territory bordering China in recent months, raising security concerns. The issue, initially dubbed a minor one, has turned serious as India prepares to raise it at the diplomatic level with China.

Images of the strange crafts seen along the India and China border.

According to the reports, in Ladakh sector, such an object was sighted in Thakung post on October 21 for around eight hours. It had an "intense continuous flash light." Another incident was reported from Arunachal Pradesh's Dichu area on October 19.  Earlier it was believed that the Chinese could be sending remote-controlled lanterns but that theory was shot down after an internal probe.  Mail Today accessed a series of reports sent by the intelligence bureau, the army and the ITBP on the issue, which has been discussed at a high-level meeting on China in the Prime Minister's Office.  Some of the top government officials suspect that these UFOs which appear to lift off from the Chinese side and traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing were high-intensity cameras.  "We are worried that there may be a flare-up if the Indian troops decide to shoot these objects," a source said. - India Today.

MASS UFO SIGHTINGS: Eight Reports of UFO Sightings From Five American States in 11 Hours!

November 19, 2012 - UNITED STATES - It was a busy night for UFO sightings on November 16 through November 17, 2012 as eight witnesses from five different states reported seeing flying crafts over an 11-hour period.  The objects were first seen in Pennsylvania on November 16 just before 5:00 p.m. and were last sighted at 4:00 a.m. on November 17 in Indiana according to the Examiner.  The first witness in Pennsylvania was driving west on I-422 and reported seeing three glowing objects that came together and formed a triangle. They stayed in the triangular shape and hovered for 6 to 10 minutes until they faded from sight.  Under an hour later and 250 miles to the east near Southampton, Pennsylvania, a woman saw three objects about 5:30 p.m. on November 16. She was driving home from work and noticed three sets of five bright lights in a close formation flying low to the ground.

Low flying UFO reports seem to be more common in 2012 as one 11-hour reporting period seems
to suggest as eight cases are filed from five states. Credits: Google Maps.
In Old Saybrook, Connecticut, about 190 miles northeast along Long Island Sound at 5:55 p.m. on November 16 a witness driving in a car noticed a streaking light moving so fast that the object created a trail of light.  At 7:03 p.m. on November 16 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, about 650 miles to the east of Old Saybrook, a witness saw a bright orange, tulip-shaped object, coming from the northwest. The object was described as being orange and in the shape of an airplane but much larger.  Then at 7:25 p.m. on November 16 in Indianapolis, Indiana, about 300 miles southwest of Mount Clemens, a witness reported three strange objects flying in the sky.  "I noticed a star-like object blinking as it soared through the sky," the witness stated. "I know it wasn't a shooting star. I looked for several minutes and noticed two more of the same star-like objects chasing each other on the opposite side of the sky and their lights were also blinking simultaneously."  Then at 9:00 p.m. on November 16 a witness in Rochester, New York, about 560 miles northeast of Indianapolis, reported a burning orb-like object flying about 100 feet overhead.  At midnight on November 16 a witness in Alto, Michigan, about 430 miles directly west of Rochester, reported three lights moving in a triangle formation and were brightly colored.

Lastly, at 4:00 a.m. in Reelsville, Indiana on November 17 a witness saw three lights moving east across the sky. He said it wasn't an airplane and it was traveling in a zigzag pattern.  Just what was going on in the north eastern skies for over 11 hours? Were these flying crafts studying the region or just looking things over trying to decide on where to land? Since the objects were seen in so many states by total strangers no one can say that all these incidents didn't really happen. Could all of these people have mistaken a helicopter or an airplane for a UFO?  Each witness described their encounter the same way; spotting three objects with brightly colored lights taking the shape of a triangle.  Since so much activity went on during an 11-hour period through so many states maybe it's time for the government to form some kind of committee made up of military personal, government officials, scientists, and regular citizens to discuss and try to understand just what is going on in the skies.  This group could try to figure how to tell the public about these strange flying objects and have them understand and made to feel comfortable that there isn't anything to fear until, and if, something actually happens.  The governments of the world might be afraid that if a space craft does land the world would most likely be terrified but if everyone is included in deciding what to do in case of an emergency chances are greatly improved that any kind of fear would not lead to rampage in the streets.  Something big was obviously going on a couple of nights ago, but what and are the people of this world ready just in case an object does actually land one day? There have been too many sightings during hundreds of years to lead people to believe that aliens have not landed already.
