SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS: Solar Halos - Heavenly Pictures Show The Sun Ringed By A HALO Over Tibet!

March 15, 2013 - TIBET - Looking at these pictures it is perhaps unsurprising that a new Pope has been elected.  Thanks to a rare phenomenon the blazing sun has been pictured over Tibet looking as if it is wearing a halo.  The bizarre bright ring also makes it look like as though a huge eye is in the sky.  Also known as a 'sundog', a solar halo is a distant cousin of a rainbow caused by sunlight shining through a thin layer of cloud called Cirrostratus, which is made up of millions of tiny ice crystals.

Angelic: This incredible halo around the Sun was captured by a Russian photographer as she travelled across the Tibetan desert.

The thin cloud cover is up anywhere about 9km above sea level where the temperature is between minus 30C and minus 35C.  The spectacular images were taken by Russian photographer Elena Belozorova who spotted the extraordinary sight while driving to Darchen city.   The 38-year-old from Vologda said it was a truly magical moment.   'I have seen lots of things in my life but I've never seen anything like this before,' she said.

How they form: Also known as a 'sundog', a solar halo is a distant cousin of a rainbow caused by sunlight shining through a thin layer of cloud called Cirrostratus, which is made up of millions of tiny ice crystals.

The phenonemen is officially called a pathelia but is also known as a 'sundog', 'halo' or 'mock sun'. The sight is more commonly seen when the sun is low in the sky and not in the middle of the day.  Cultures around the globe have traditionally given great significance and meaning to a sun dog when they see one.  In medieval times and early aboriginal forecasting halos were a sign of rain on its way - with rain predicted for Friday when the halo will disappear.

'We were stunned': Miss Belozorova said even her local guides were amazed to see the halo form.

Portentous: Cultures around the globe have traditionally given great significance to the phenomena.

'The light in Tibet is very special, it's fantastic. I've never seen such colours in the sky before. It was all so clear and vivid,' said Ms Belozorova.  'The sky is very changeable, every minute there is a different light or pattern.  'We saw the halo as it was created and transformed. We were stunned.  'Even our guides were totally amazed. It looked like a huge eye and occupied half of the sky.  'It almost looked like the entrance to another world.'  - Daily Mail.

Space experts are trying to solve the mystery of ‘a UFO fragment’ which crashed close to a village in Siberia. Locals insist the metallic object – which resembles a large rubbish bin – fell from the skies but initial checks by experts have concluded it is neither from a rocket nor a missile. It is now under police guard as interest in the ‘visitor’ intensifies.

Weighing 200 kilograms and around two metres in height, locals fixed it onto a trailer and took across the snow to the village where local inspectors checked it. ‘The object found is not related to space technology. A final conclusion can be made after a detailed study of the object by experts,' said the Russian space agency Roscosmos. Locals insist the metallic object - resembling a large shiny rubbish bin - fell from the skies. The object is six feet long and is at least partially made of titanium steel. It's now under police guard as interest in the 'visitor' intensifies. It was found near a village called Otradnensky some two thousand miles and three time zones east of Moscow. The Russian media immediately claimed ‘fragments of a UFO’ were discovered in the remote forest. Locals had heard strange sounds in the thick woodland in December, it was claimed. But it was only on Sunday that the find was reported to local police who then alerted Moscow. Yuri Bornyakov, head of rescue service department of Kuibyshevski district of Novosibirsk region, said: ‘We measured the radiation level near and inside the object. We found no radiation here.’ 

Initial theories that it was part of a space rocket or a satellite form a failed launch in Kazakhstan have been denied. Head of Department for Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of the Kuibyshevski, Valery Vasiliev, said part of the fragment was made of ultra strong titanium. Finder Sergey Bobrov undertook in an official statement that he would keep the UFO safe, but locals reported that  ‘police came during the night and secretly removed it’. A local police spokesman confirmed the object was now under guard by the force on orders from unspecified authorities. ‘You can see inside it, all is open, it's empty, no danger here. We were asked to take and store it. We brought it here. And now we are going to wait until they come to take it if they need it’ said Sergei Sulein. - Daily Mail.

WEATHER ANOMALIES: Rare Double Mirage Observed Near Frozen Hokkaido Lake - Stuns the Director of the Japan Mirage Association!

An extremely rare double mirage was observed near a frozen lake here on Feb. 14.

A double mirage is observed at the shore of Lake Furen in Nemuro, Hokkaido, on Feb. 14, 2012.

Yasushi Nagao, 55, from Nemuro, managed to capture the optical phenomenon on his camera at around 7 a.m. on St. Valentine's Day, when he noticed that a virtual image of several buildings located on the opposite shore of Lake Furen stood mirrored underneath the buildings. Furthermore, a second mirage showing pretenses of snow and ice piled upside-down underneath the real objects could be seen below the buildings.

Mirages appearing beneath the real object are known as "inferior mirages." They occur when the air near the ground is significantly warmer than that higher up. According to experts, when light rays pass through such warm air, they bend in an upward trajectory, as if seen through lenses. "I've never heard of a double (inferior mirage)," said Takuya Ogane, the director of Japan Mirage Association, expressing his surprise at the news. - MDN.

MYSTERY: Symbols of an Alien Sky, Man-Made or Natural Phenomena - Giant Planetary-Sized UFO Parked Next to Planet Mercury Baffles Astronomers!

A gigantic object the size of a planet has appeared on astronomers screens lurking near Mercury, with UFO hunters around the world wondering whether it’s an alien ship.

The object appears from nowhere in a sequence of images of a coronal ejection from the Sun, taken by a Nasa telescope. As the flare races past Mercury, a huge round object appears next to it – but Nasa scientists insist that the object is merely a result of the way the images are processed. Over 100,000 YouTube users have watched the sequence taken by the Heliospheric Imager-1 telescope. It was uploaded by user siniXster and he says in his commentary: ‘It's cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it's cloaked.’ However, experts say that there is no alien race hiding away in our solar system. The image from the telescope was analysed by the United States Naval Research Laboratory, with engineer Nathan Rich explaining that the ‘object’ is actually the image of Mercury from the previous day.

To make sure that the solar flare stood out, researchers compare the image with one taken the day before and subtract anything that appears twice - because that means it's interfering background light. Stars are easily eliminated, but moving objects, like planets, are more difficult to remove. Rich told Space.com: ‘When [this averaging process] is done between the previous day and the current day and there is a feature like a planet, this introduces dark artifacts in the background where the planet was on the previous day, which then show up as bright areas in the enhanced image.’ Astronomer Dr Heather Couper also agrees that it’s not a huge death star. She told MailOnline: ‘The scientists have not managed to subtract the image of Mercury. The technical guys are saying the problem is that when you try to subtract something that’s moving the pixels blend into each. ‘It’s imaging processing that they haven’t got their heads around. No way could it be an alien spaceship the size of Mercury because Mercury is the size of our moon and we would know about it." - Daily Mail.

For some time now, I have been documenting these weird aerial anomalies, spirals and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) happening in our skies all over the world. Today, I want you to have a look at the following two videos out of Russia that features a blue spiral over the town of Vytegra  in Vologda Oblast, and a UFO over Saint Petersburg.

Over the last couple days, several videos have emerged showing many white glowing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and/or orbs flying over london. Here are two of the newer ones, the first one was film next to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Radio 1 Building that features several objects flying across the afternoon sky and the appearance of a larger and fast moving object hovering directly overhead. The  second one was posted by a tourist that was filming the Tower Bridge as several orbs made a fly by.

Mystery: Symbols of an Alien Sky, Man-Made or Natural Phenomena? Meteor Believed to have Made Huge Hole in New Jersey Man's Lawn!

Local residents are still wondering if property damage at a Basking Ridge home, was actually caused by a meteorite? Officials and other experts still had not ruled out the possibility, even though no definitive proof was found in the large hole on Lafayette Lane. Police responded to a property damage report  and found a hole about seven foot long and four feet wide in the grass near the home driveway.

Are they here? It's a question asked in jest now that some people are wondering whether a strange visitor from another planet dropped by New J/ersey last week, leaving a large hole in the ground. Residents now believe it was a meteor, and have dubbed it the “Garden State's Meteor Mystery”. Pictures and video show the impact zone along Lafayette lane in Basking Ridge, NJ. The homeowners where the object landed weren't talking about the mystery tonight. Neighbor Leo Labbe told PIX 11 News, "It's a mystery. We don't now what happened, I was in the house, and heard absolutely nothing, until I came out at 4 o'clock and there was an army of police cars and everything else here...we haven't a clue what happened...public service and the gas company came along and took all kinds of tests - they did sniff tests for gas - there was no electrical interruption. It's just a bizarre thing that I've never seen before and probably never will again!" Bill McCain, an astronomer at the nearby Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium, told PIX 11 News, "It is a mystery, because I was over there and I saw it. All the details point towards something impacting. It also looks like there could have been an explosion from underground, but that's all been ruled out. The only thing left is an impact, but we can't find anything that actually caused the impact so it's really a mystery. I'm as baffled as you are at this point." The unidentified flying object landed near the front of a local homeowner's yard. Early suspicions were that it was a space rock but that remains unclear, because whatever object made the huge hole left no clues. It left no metal, no scorch marks, and no animal tracks. So far investigators have ruled out something falling off a passing airplane, fireworks or kids playing a prank as the cause of the mysterious hole. - WPIX.
